As we begin the year, El Dorado High School looks forward to another year of success. Students have arrived with a positive, can do attitude, and we will do whatever it takes to support them as they pursue the highest quality education. Students continue to gain entrance into the most prestigious universities, as well as, entry directly into careers upon graduation. At the beginning of the year, graduation seems too a distant idea. For our seniors, it is just a few months away, and our new Cougars, the class of 2012, will be walking across the stage in a few short years. It will be amazing how quickly those years will pass. It is important that we work together as a school, community, and family to see that our students avail themselves of the many opportunities to learn. This learning takes place both in the class and as a result of participation in the many activities available for our Cougars. Get involved at El Dorado, and be the difference for our school and your learning.
As students, we find that your success can be enhanced by participation in our many sports, activities, and clubs. Make your high school years count. Find an area of interest, and pursue it. We find that students are more successful when they commit to excellence both in and out of class. Have fun, and find a way to serve your school and community.
The 2008-09 schoolyear has begun with great promise. Let’s continue to work together to see that all our students are provided with a meaningful education that will lead to a future filled with opportunities.
